Seeing Seals

Seals enjoy spending time on Long Island in the winter and early spring, and Long Islanders love spotting them. It’s definitely more fun and educational to see seals with a knowledgeable guide who knows how to look for them, safely view them, and provide interesting tidbits about these pinnipeds. Walks are also opportunities to see many winter birds and explore marine geology. Check out our list, make a reservation, dress warmly, bring binoculars, arrive early, and enjoy. Seal walks are always subject to weather.
