The 42st Annual Montauk Fall Festival is a family friendly weekend featuring Oktoberfest foods, carousel rides, chowder, Long Island wines, and fresh local produce.
On Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8, the Green in the center of Montauk each day is abuzz with music, activities, and food from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Many activities are free, but there is a charge for food, drinks, and some entertainment.
The very popular (and always tasty) clam chowder contest kicks off events on Saturday at 11:00 am. Sampling mugs can be purchased to support the Chamber of Commerce. Saturday’s entertainment will feature the Realm Band and Little Head Thinks Band performs on Sunday.
The closest marinas to the festival are at the southernmost part of Lake Montauk. The festival is a short ride away (bus and taxi services are available), or you can walk. Transient dock space is available at marinas including Snug Harbor Marina & Motel (631-668-2860), Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club (631-668-3100), and Star Island Yacht Club & Marina (631-668-5052). Reservations are required at all facilities.
