Know why boatloads of seafood lovers feel their taste buds tingling as late August arrives? They know the annual Seafood Festival in West Sayville is near. This year, it’s the Festival’s 30th anniversary!

On Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, the catches of the days are featured at the festival, held on the grounds of the Long Island Maritime Museum. The fun begins at 11:00 am and concludes at 6:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Purchase admission tickets online or at the festival (cash only).

Attendees will feast on the delicious and plentiful seafood for sale, including raw bars and lobster rolls, along with non-seafood options. Enjoy live musical performances, arts and crafts, and children’s rides and activities. In addition, there’s the museum’s 1888 oyster sloop, Priscilla, a national historic landmark.
