Not all airborne Santa stories involve reindeer. At the Reenactment of the Flying Santa at the

Fire Island Lighthouse at 11:30 am on December 14, Santa arrives via a historic plane!

Much to the delight of the gathered children at this free event, the Fire Island Lighthouse recreates the 1953 delivery of a holiday package to lighthouse families.

The fun continues after this thrilling reenactment. After cheers, Santa descends from the top of the lighthouse and meets and greets all the children.
