The annual Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay, billed as the largest waterfront festival on the East Coast, is definitely the most enjoyable! It’s also a fundraiser for the Oyster Bay Rotary Club’s local charities.

The festival takes place from 11:00 until 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 (both days are rain or shine). With music, contests, midway rides, sports clinics, pirate shows, and artisan displays, there’s plenty for all. Of course, that includes food — from oysters to zeppoles.

Transient space may be available within walking distance — reserve a mooring at OB Marine Center (516-624-2400 or VHF channel 71) or Sagamore Yacht Club at (516-922-0555 or channel 78). Always confirm availability and launch service before you set out.
