Boaters, take note:

- Avoid security/safety zones and seek the harbormaster or other enforcement personnel for their latest info on wind direction — you don’t want to be under falling ashes.
- Be comfortable operating a vessel at night, double-check the return route, be mindful of other boats, and heed VHF radio alerts about changes to local conditions, including wave activity and visibility.
