Not all airborne Santa stories involve reindeer. At the 20th Annual Reenactment of the Flying Santa at the Fire Island Lighthouse, Santa arrives via a historic plane!
Much to the delight of the children attending on December 10 at 11:30 am, the Fire Island Lighthouse recreates the 
1953 delivery of a holiday package to lighthouse families.
The fun continues as Santa descends from the top of the lighthouse to joyful cheers, and then meets and greets all the children. The event is free; call 631-583-5901 for reservations.
