When South Shore boaters crave getting away from the shore, but not from other boaters, Hemlock Cove is the place to be! Area boaters love to hang out, join relaxing (or sometimes a bit exuberant) friendly raft ups, or row to shore with their kids and dogs. It’s located along the State Boat Channel opposite Gilgo State Park.

Most of the cove is deep, but check the depth when you get close to land. The southeast corner provides a nice spot to spend the day, but we suggest that you get there early.

There are no amenities in Hemlock Cove; the closest fueling is further east in the State Boat Channel.
