The second longest running Charity Regatta in the United States, the Mount Sinai Sailing Association’s 38th annual American Cancer Society Regatta takes place Saturday, September 21.
The course is eight to 20 miles, starting in the vicinity of Mount Sinai, and entrants in PHRF Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker (double-handed, one-design, and cruiser) compete for trophies, bragging rights, and the opportunity to raise money to support the American Cancer Society.
The competition kicks off at 11:00 am — boaters watching the racers should stay clear of the route and cheer on their favorites. An awards party at Mount Sinai Yacht Club follows at about 3:30 pm with food, entertainment, and raffles.
